Anesu Ticharwa

Anesu Ticharwa is a 19 year old artist from Zimbabwe who moved to Australia when she was 11. The disconnect she felt from her culture after moving to Australia made her want to incorporate Afrocentric themes that represented her culture and people who look like her in some of her works. Anesu primarily uses acrylic paint, working on canvases although she has recently begun practising with oil paints.
